| Where does your money go? |
| |
| One of the purposes that gave birth to Robiin is to fight for the openness of the agricultural sector, that's why, from the beginning we announce to whom the money paid for your product goes: |
| |
|
| 44% Producer |
|
Producer - Robiin is the only middleman between the farmer cooperatives (associations) and the final purchaser. Therefore this percentage goes entirely to them and it is what they really receive for the sale of their fruit.
Also, the farmers are the ones who set their own prices, without us putting any pressure on them. |
| |
| |
| 33% Freight |
|
| Freight - Freight gets very expensive because it's an urgent one, and also because the content doesn't have a very high value. 15Kg of computer materials don't have the same value as 15kg of oranges, but its freight does. Robiin is working to be able to provide new distribution formulas that shall reduce these costs bit by bit. We are also working to reach agreements in a future with distributors in different cities. Logistics is our pending subject. |
| |
| |
| 14% Manufacture |
|
Manufacture - In this price the following are included:
-Travel expenses to the land.
-Orange picking.
-Return to the cooperative and weighing of the goods.
-Packing the goods into boxes.
-Filling in a card, so the client will later have access to the whole history of treatments that have taken place on the piece of land where the ordered oranges have been grown.
-It also includes the printed box where the goods are placed.
The manufacture is carried out by people who work at the cooperative, therefore this money is entirely to pay their wages, Robiin doesn't receive anything. |
| |
| |
| 9% robiin |
|
Robiin - This is the only income that Robiin receives. This money is to:
-To pay off the initial investment.
-To cover the possible losses due to unsettled payments.
-To pay the people who manage and improve the web.
-It is also used to invest and to spread the web so that more and more users get to know us. |
| |
| |
| |
| We have based these proportions on a 13kg crate of tangerines. With the same kg of oranges, the price for the producer would be a bit less, because the orange is typically cheaper than the tangerine. |
| |
| All these percentages are not static, they will vary as we get larger sales volume and we get better organized. In time we will be more efficient. |
| |
| Reflection: To give you an idea, currently, with this same proportion that we show you above, the farmer receives between 5 and 8% of the total, which doesn't even cover the production expenses of the fruit. Therefore the producer's current situation is unsustainable and not feasible. |
